This is a rare and unusual BLOODSTONE + Moss Agate mix crystal skull! Both Bloodstone and Moss Agate are members of the Chalcedony family. :-> Bloodstone is sometimes also known as Heliotrope or St. Stephen's Stone. The dark green background is accented with complex patterns and shades of blue-green/grey/white/clear Agate with some nicely defined "moss" inclusions (not actually plant matter!). Accents of golden brown/orange, lighter green, and the tiny bright red speckles that Bloodstone is known for are also present. (Bloodstone is an opaque green form of Chalcedony. Moss Agate is a variety of Dendritic Agate, which is a member of the Chalcedony family, that contains inclusions of green minerals such as Chlorite and Hornblende.)
It has a few tiny organic spots here and there from inclusions that were close to the surface as the stone was polished. ALL inclusions present come from 100% natural formations in the stone. Check out how it works with subtle energies below!
It weighs about 5.2oz and measures approximately 61mm (2 3/8" inches) long X 44mm (1 3/4" inches) tall. Code-071224-21927
Bloodstone aka Heliotrope or St. Stephen's Stone. Bloodstone is a deep green stone with small red specks. These red specks are what gives the stone its name.
Bloodstone has long been called a "Stone of Courage."
It is often used for emotional healing, cleansing, and renewal - especially the renewal of all kinds of relationships. It is thought to bring good fortune to the holder.
In stressful situations, bloodstone is said to be very calming. It is also used to aid in working through grief and traumas. People have often kept bloodstone in any area thought to need a continuous cleansing of the energy as it is said to ease energy flows.
Bloodstone is excellent for balance and grounding and has been used to bring energy to the user. Some believe it is useful in legal issues, probably because it is believed to help release blocks and support decision making.
It is strongly associated with the heart Chakra first and also the root, sacral (2nd) and Solar Plexus (3rd) Chakras.
In Crystal Healing, Bloodstone is used in numerous ways. It is often given to chemotherapy patients, people with high blood pressure, and problems of the circulatory and cardiovascular systems, the endocrine system, kidney and bladder. It has also traditionally been given to people after surgery and after any kind of trauma.
Moss Agate is sometimes called the "Gardener’s Stone" because many of its energetic qualities are useful to help support the fertility of plants, ensuring a good crop with healthy growth as well as ample rain. It is believed to help one to communicate directly with animals, plants and all of nature. It is often used to strengthen creativity, and improve and boost self-confidence and self-esteem.
It's considered a beneficial stone to work with or wear to help one gain inner peace during times of extreme or excessive stress or when weighed down by work or other duties and responsibilities in
life. Quite possibly those are all reasons why it is also thought to be a stone that attracts abundance, success, and prosperity. It’s considered to be a stone that helps one to form rapport with others and has been used to support the growth of friendships and compatible love relationships. Moss agate, like all agates, is considered to be a protective stone and is thought to carry a vibration that supports working together for the protection of the Earth. In Crystal Healing, Moss Agate is often used with people who are working to overcome addictive behaviors, as well as with issues of circulation and digestive or intestinal disorders. It is felt to possess a frequency or energy of overall healing and restoration.
Moss Agate is associated with the Heart Chakra.
Native legends speak of crystal skulls as an inheritance from ancient times. Said to “talk and sing” they are believed to carry messages for all mankind, including what may be discovered when we overcome our fear of death.
