This is a rare and unusual Prehnite crystal skull, with several larger deep green Epidote inclusions, and many tiny dark "needles" of Amphibole minerals throughout. It has been here charging with Synergy for 13+ years, and is finally ready to go out into the world.
The Prehnite has a lovely seawater green coloring, with interesting patterns/inclusions, as well as physical textures. Tiny VUGS (AKA "crystal cave inclusions") are present here and there. Vugs are natural formations, and considered highly collectible. It also looks especially cool when set on a light box, or held up to a bright light source! ALL inclusions present come from 100% natural formations in the stone.
It weighs about 8.1oz (so just over half a pound) and measures approx. 69mm (2 3/4" inches) long X 47mm (1 7/8" inch) tall. Code-123124-22221
Amphiboles are considered to be part of a Mineral Supergroup, which contains 2 groups, and several subgroups. Amphiboles are minerals of either igneous or metamorphic origin. Amphiboles form as long prismatic crystals, radiating sprays and fibrous aggregates. The name amphibole derives from Greek amphíbolos ("double entendre") or ambiguous; meaning the appearance of the internal formation may or may not lead you to know what it is composed of since individual inclusions can often only be correctly identified by a combination of chemical-analytical, X-ray diffraction and spectroscopic methods.
Prehnite has been thought to stimulate the sense of "knowingness," which is why it is sometimes called a "Stone of Prophesy." It is a protective stone, especially when using it for communication with higher vibrational Beings, and a stronger connection to ones Guides.
It’s said to help one awaken to their own spiritual potential, as well as to support meditative states. Certain stones can be useful with various forms of divination, and may be used to connect with a client before a reading by having them quietly hold a piece of Prehnite, then take it back, to meditate with before a reading.
It's been used to support healthy relationships and to remind one not to lose a strong sense of self, inside of any relationship. Some Indigenous healers put a piece of Prehnite into a young person's medicine bag, at the start of puberty.
It’s also used for working through emotional pain. It is a calming, yet revitalizing energy.
In Crystal Healing, Prehnite is commonly used to boost the immune system and increase vitality. It is thought to be helpful for kidney issues, gout and anemia.
It is associated with both the Heart and Third Eye Chakras.
Epidote is a stone used to increase a person’s ability to attune to anything they concentrate on. It helps to ease the critical mind and one's tendency to be closed-minded, which is very useful when doubting oneself. It is also said to increase the energy intensity of anything it is placed with. It is thought to reduce stress, depression and anxiety.
In Crystal Healing, it is used to stimulate the immune system, aid digestion, support the body’s ability to heal, aid with depression and stop panic attacks.
It is associated with the Heart Chakra.
Amphibole inclusions lend a calming and grounding quality to their "host" crystal. They are an excellent choice to support emotional balance, and especially good at easing depression, loneliness, low self-esteem, stress, and tension. They have often been given to people suffering from PTSD as well as childhood or past life trauma. They can also be used to foster a stronger connection with Guides and Higher Vibration Beings of all kinds.
In Crystal Healing, they have been used with issues of the liver, skin, ears, eyes, and the digestive tract, as well as for muscle cramps, insomnia and blood and nerve issues. They are also thought to support the absorption of calcium and iron.
They are associated with the Third Eye and Crown Chakras.
Native legends speak of crystal skulls as an inheritance from ancient times. Said to “talk and sing” they are believed to carry messages for all mankind, including what may be discovered when we overcome our fear of death.
