This is a life size Plume Agate crystal skull. Shown next to standard sized 12oz/355ml soda can for size comparison. This is larger than the average human adult.
It weighs about 14lbs 15.6oz (so just under 15lbs) / 6.792kgs and measures approximately 9 1/4" inches long X about 5 7/8" inches wide at the widest point X 6 7/8" inches tall. Code-030625-22355
This is an absolutely one of a kind Plume Agate crystal skull. It has fantastic formations all throughout, with many well defined "plumes" in different colors. VUGS are scattered throughout in various shapes and sizes. Vugs are natural formations that are sometimes also known as "crystal cave inclusions" and considered highly collectible. I especially like the cluster around the right side of the head/cheekbone, running down into the jawline. New beautiful features are present everywhere you look! A particularly nice "fan" of black Dendrites are located in the back of the head, right side. This resembles tiny plant life, but is actually made up of Manganese.
Subtle areas of shadow/parallax are present in the banding in the back of the head (right side). A parallax effect is defined by a shimmery "shadow" that appears to move around on the surface of the stone when you move it back and forth or your orientation to the stone changes (you walk around the stone while it is stationary). This effect occurs when there are alternating opaque and translucent bands, and comes from light going into the stone but not reflecting out.
The level of detail throughout is just beautiful. Each time you look at this one, you'll find a new and cool formation to focus on. One of a kind and super energetic! Much nicer in person than any photo could ever show - I guarantee it.
The stone does have a few small organic spots here and there that were close to the surface as the stone was polished. They can resemble small notches fine lines, shallow indents, etc. ALL inclusions present in this piece come from 100% natural formations in the stone.
