This is a pretty, large, MOSS AGATE crystal skull. Shown next to a US quarter coin for size comparison. I don't have this size all that often anymore so I saved a few up. Great organic textures and patterns in this one, including very cool white/cream patterns throughout, some of which have shallow vugs in them. Vugs are natural formations, sometimes AKA "crystal cave inclusions", and considered highly collectible. VERY nice! I love it! The "moss" in this kind of stone can resemble plant life but are actually made up of green minerals such as Chlorite and Hornblende.
Besides the vugs, there are a few small organic spots here and there from inclusions that were close to the surface as the stone was polished. These may resemble pinpricks/tiny indents, small notches, or fine lines on the surface. ALL inclusions present come from 100% natural formations in the stone. It's much nicer 'in person' than the photos show, I guarantee it! Check out how it works with subtle energies below.
It weighs about 9.8oz (so just over half a pound) and measures approximately 77mm (3" inches) long X 58mm (2 1/4" inches) tall. Code-110724-22160
Moss Agate is sometimes called the "Gardener’s Stone" because many of its energetic qualities are useful to help support the fertility of plants, ensuring a good crop with healthy growth as well as ample rain. It is believed to help one to communicate directly with animals, plants and all of nature. It is often used to strengthen creativity, and improve and boost self-confidence and self-esteem.
It's considered a beneficial stone to work with or wear to help one gain inner peace during times of extreme or excessive stress or when weighed down by work or other duties and responsibilities in life. Quite possibly those are all reasons why it is also thought to be a stone that attracts abundance, success, and prosperity. It’s considered to be a stone that helps one to form rapport with others and has been used to support the growth of friendships and compatible love relationships.
Moss agate, like all agates, is considered to be a protective stone and is thought to carry a vibration that supports working together for the protection of the Earth.
In Crystal Healing, Moss Agate is often used with people who are working to overcome addictive behaviors, as well as with issues of circulation and digestive or intestinal disorders. It is felt to possess a frequency or energy of overall healing and restoration.
Moss Agate is associated with the Heart Chakra.
Native legends speak of crystal skulls as an inheritance from ancient times. Said to “talk and sing” they are believed to carry messages for all mankind, including what may be discovered when we overcome our fear of death.
