This is an unusual and cool Peruvian Blue Opal Crystal Skull! Also called "Andean Opal". As with all of my skulls, I have had this stone verified by a geologist. The stone has lighter blue-green Opal, with interesting areas of black/grey matrix, white Calcite, and hints of reddish orange Iron deposits. There are some shallow VUGS in/around the grey matrix areas in the right side of the face/head, too. Vugs are natural formations, sometimes also known as "crystal cave inclusions", and considered highly collectible.
There are tiny organic spots from inclusions that were close to the surface as the stone was polished. They can resemble fine lines on the surface, little pinpricks, or tiny notches. ALL inclusions present come form 100% natural formations in the stone. A very special addition to any collection! Much nicer 'in person' than the photos can show.
