This is an unusual and cool Peruvian Blue Opal Crystal Skull. Also called "Andean Opal". As with all of my skulls, I have had this stone verified by a geologist. The Opal is mainly a lighter blue/blue-green color and picks up different hues depending on the lighting it is in (natural vs. fluorescent) and background it is against (light vs. dark). There are some larger areas of grey matrix that contain a LOT of sparkly metallic gold colored Pyrite, and some interesting white Calcite. Reddish areas are likely Iron content.
There are a few tiny organic spots from inclusions that were close to the surface as the stone was polished. ALL inclusions present come from 100% natural formations in the stone.
