This is an Extra Large Quartz Crystal Skull, carved in the Mayan Shaman style. This style is RETIRED, so I only have a limited amount available in any stone. It has been here charging with Synergy for 16+ years. It has intricate patterns/inclusions with areas of higher clarity mixed in for contrast. Plus, some reddish orange HEMATITE in the back of the head (right side), and lovely shimmery areas and rainbows that become visible from different angles throughout the stone. These are hand carved and polished, so there are bound to be differences between each one! The last 4 photos show it on a small lightbox/stand.
It is common for this carving style to have small organic spots on the surface of the stone from inclusions that were close to the surface as the carver polished the stone. They can resemble tiny pinpricks, light scuffs, small notches, or fine lines/linear indents on the surface. These organic areas come from 100% natural formations in the crystal. Rainbows in Crystals aka Rainbow crystals. These are said to be able to manifest some of the purest energies on the physical plane and assist in raising one's spiritual vibrations. It is thought that they may assist one in moving through negativity.

Quartz is often said to be the crystal or "stone" that everyone needs to start with. Quartz is the most recognized type of crystal and is what many people think of when they hear the word crystal, although there are many, many different types of crystals in all kinds of stones.
Quartz can be as clear as ice (ancients called quartz ‘Holy Ice’ and thought that it came from the heavens) or milky white.
It can have inclusions, veils, bubbles, unusual formations, etc. Clarity is not important for the energetic quality of a quartz crystal, and in fact, inclusions and impurities can make the crystal much more energetic, and increase its ability to store and amplify subtle energies.
