This specimen features a Mica matrix with deep red Garnet crystals throughout. Shown next to a US quarter coin for size comparison. The Mica is a darker silvery color with lots of shimmery areas throughout, and the Garnet crystals are a lovely deep red with little areas of clarity to them and tiny shimmery areas inside.
This is a natural specimen, and as such a variety of physical textured are present. Due to the way Mica forms in thin layers, it is natural for tiny pieces to flake or shed during transit and in daily life.
It weighs about 1.5oz and measures about 2 1/4" inches long by just under 1 1/2" inches wide at the widest point. Code-5
