This is a beautiful Blue Chalcedony Druzy Rosette from Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. Recently, the trade names "Conchina Druzy" or "Conchina Chalcedony" have been used for this particular kind of formation where Chalcedony is topped with Druzy crystals. The term "Druzy" refers to tiny crystals which grow in or on top of another stone in a large number. Often, Druzy crystals take on the coloring of their "host" stone, which is why these little Druzy crystals have the same pale blue-grey color of the Chalcedony they grew on top of! Hints of reddish brown (iron deposits) can be seen here and there as well. The back side has been left natural, and I think it looks pretty cool on its own too. Lots of cool physical textures.
